3 out of 5 stars Difficult to assemble......   July 21, 2007

More than one pair of hands was needed in the assembly of the Grill and the instructions were not clear and complete. I had read in another review that there was a front and a back to the bowl, but this wasn't mentioned in the instructions nor was there any indication on the bowl itself no matter how carefully I examined it. It wasn't until the addition of the hood that the difference became apparent: the position of two small holes determined the position of the hinges on the hood. Since there are holes front and back, the slight differences weren't noticeable and there was no picture in the instructions that showed what to look for. I had called the factory to get help but it wasn't sufficient to save me from having to take the grill. apart and start again. Moreover, because I had started the task by myself, the bowl slipped from my grasp when I tried to attach the hood and the front vents got bent. Not a heavy-duty grill and not a happy trip -- especially when I found that Lowe's carries the Meco at a lower price!
