5 out of 5 stars Best sprayer I've ever owned!   October 21, 2008
J. Jacobs (South Texas)
I own the 4 Gal. version of this sprayer, and it is awesome! We live on a 200 acre ranch in South Texas. I use this all over the place! In fact, I keep Round-Up solution in it at all times. I mix up about 3 gal. at a time and never empty the tank because it never needs cleaning and is incapable of clogging. The only time it has ever clogged is when the tip of the nozzle has some dried solution on it. A quick rinse and it is as good as new. Our "yard" around the house is about 9,000 sq. ft. of carpet grass with lots of landscaping and beds. The sprayer primes up by pushing or pulling it for about 10 to 12 feet or more...plenty of time for me to drag it to the flower beds from my garage. As the spray is used, it naturally slows and dribbles down from the original fine spray, but all you have to do is pull it as you spray / walk around the beds, sometimes rolling it back and forth at arms length a few times to get it re-primed up for more spray. Beats the heck out of ANY sprayer I have ever lugged by hand or on a shoulder strap. If it breaks for any reason, I'm definately getting another one! I'm a 60 year old fat gal, so it won't get any easier for me! My only complaint it that I wish the wand was about 6" longer. Haven't tried the telescoping wand that comes as an extra purchase, but it's a good price ($8.00 or so) so I might.

5 out of 5 stars Love it   September 22, 2008

I think this is great. I can spray weeds around my whole yard and still have some left in the sprayer...and my arm doesn't get tired like it would with a pump sprayer.

4 out of 5 stars so far, so good!   August 5, 2008
B. Bray (Kentucky)
I'm happy that I read the reviews before buying this sprayer. Realizing that you do have to keep the wheels moving most of the time helped tremendously.

I really like it so far, used it two hours today. No problems! Sure don't miss wagging around that one gallon sprayer and having to stop and pump; not to mention making several trips to re-fill it.

A word of advice; when the tank starts to get low, if you'll push the sprayer, rather than pull it, it puts more pressure on the wheels, to keep the pressure built up better. (ecspecially in gravel)

I really liked the fact that when you re-fill the tank, there is no pressure in the holding tank itself. Therefore, I didn't have a hard time getting the top off, and no yucky spewing as with the hand pump sprayers.

You do a lot of walking, but I need the exercise anyway, so I'm not complaining.

If you have a wide area to spray, walk up and back spraying a small path works best, since you lose pressure by stopping and spraying for long periods. Having said that, this sprayer is absolutely perfect for fence lines!

As far as the hose goes, the hose is a little long for me, but I'm 5'1", fairly short, so I'm sure someone taller wouldn't have that problem. I'm going to use a plastic wire tie on it next time I use it to see if that is better.

If you are petite or are not use to pulling weight, you might want to put just a couple gallons in, until you get use to it.

Thanks to everyone who wrote reviews!!! It really helped reading them, and was mostly the reason I bought this specific sprayer. I'm glad, so far, that I did!

4 out of 5 stars pump sprayer   July 28, 2008

Convenient, easy to use, enjoy being able to roll rather than carry, and much more convenient to not have to manually pump while working for an extended period of time.

2 out of 5 stars Needs more pressure   July 14, 2008

This seemed to be a well built machine but it had a lack of lasting pressure. wheeling it all the way across the yard, we couldnt even finish spraying one bush. We ended up sending it back.
