Simple, Effective, Could be brighter June 22, 2008 Norman Frakes (Wisconsin) I purchased this one to avoid another that was great, but didn't last. Was accustomed to more light than the new one produces....but I'll be happy if the thing lasts more than about 6 months. Compact, light weight, Flashlight feature is really handy.
LED light June 18, 2008 G. Stickel (East Tennessee) Light works great! Very bright. This is my second purchase of one -- I gave this one as a gift. I recommend it.
can't replace rechargeable batteries April 6, 2008 Victoria Mihalski (allentown,pa) 1 out of 4 found this review helpful
When I received this product and read that nothing could be replaced, I immediately sent it back. I have never owned a rechargeable device that didn't have the batteries eventually go bad. At that point the light would be worthless...
Too focused March 8, 2008 Sorenson Worklights should throw a decent spread of light. This is so focused that it's basically just a big goofy flashlight.
An excellent alternative to a flashlight. March 2, 2008 Cousin Vinny (Scottsdale, AZ United States) I bought this specifically for use when I'm doing plumbing under a sink. I need light but I can't afford to have to hold a flashlight in one hand when I need two hands to work with. Also, a 110V droplight - incandescent or fluorescent - gets too hot in a small, confined space and, with water all around me, there's always a danger of shock or worse. The smaller, battery-operated LED lanterns are good but with LED's they don't gradually get dim - they'll just suddenly go out when the batteries are exhausted. I don't want to have to carry another set of batteries around with me and quite frankly, batteries can get expensive. Rechargeable is definitely the way to go and this is an excellent and practical solution. Its NiMH battery can be recharged over and over again without fear of memory effect and the vehicle cahrger lets me keep it fully charged in-between uses when I'm at work. Whenever I need a focused beam, I switch to the 9-LED flashlight mode. Most of the time, I just switch it to the 60-LED mode, lay it down next to me and there's plenty of light for me to work on the plumbing. But, the light is easy and pleasant to work by, not blinding or annoying as with some floods. Plus, it's always cool to the touch and it's ruggedly built. My only regret is that the hook does not swivel about. Other than that, this is a terrific source of useable light for the working person who's tired of fumbling with flashlights and batteries.
