I used to avoid cans with the pull tabs whenever I could (which is getting harder and harder all the time) because the tabs would snap off or it took too much effort to get the lid to come off... but not anymore. Now I have no trouble what so ever opening the ring pull top cans and I haven't had a single tab/ring break loose since I bought this wonderful little gadget. I can't believe how well it works. I bought several more for various family members. I also bought an extra for myself just in case the first one gets lost someday.
Even if you don't have health issues that make it hard to open cans you will still find that this item makes your life a lot easier.

I have purchased several different types of pop top lid openers for my mother who has severe arthiritis. This is the first one I have found that she was really able to use. The "J" shape design provides nice leverage.

WONDERFUL TOOL. SEEMS MORE AND MORE FOOD COMES IN CANS WITH POP TOPS. WITH THE ARTHRITIS IN MY HANDS AND FINGERS, I WAS HAVING A VERY PAINFUL EXPERIENCE EACH TIME I TRIED TO OPEN A CAN. THIS PLASTIC TOOL IS MADE TO PERFECTLY INSERT UNDER AND INTO THE RING. ONE TWIST, THEN OPENS THE CAN. WHAT A TRULY USEFUL KITCHEN TOOL.
