WEIGHT WATCHERS HELPER November 30, 2008 S. Huber 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Great spacesaver! Nice quality, easily mountable. This scale will come in handy since I am on Weight Watchers and need to control my serving sizes by weight...PERFECT!
was nice, but doesn't work anymore November 17, 2008 Christopher Kennedy (Baltimore, MD United States) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
was a good scale while it lasted (about 6 months). Specifically, the LCD display isn't displaying anything. The unit still turns on and makes the appropriate beeping noises, there is just nothing to look at.
Great scale November 1, 2008 Abq M 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Easy to use, easy to clean and durable.....good quality. Did not mount scale due to it not taking up a lot of counter space .....folds up nicely. However, when not in use scale has to lean on back of counter in order for it not to fall over. When in use and glass platform is down no problem with stability.
excellent September 23, 2008 J. McIntosh Excellent product for the price. I didn't mount it to the wall, but it folds up against the wall with one hand and stays there just fine. Unfortunately requires two hands to fold it back down (one to hold the upper part in place and one to fold the scale area down). Nice to have another clock and temperature display to glance at around the house. I gave it a perfect score mostly because I think you're getting a lot for the price, but it's not perfect though. Here are some fairly minor shortcomings: - it would have been nice if it could have been attached to the wall with something like velcro so you could fold it down with one hand, but the way the hing is built, the upper part travels up and down during the operation and would prevent the scale from staying attached to the wall during the fold down. Unfortunately I don't want to drill holes through my tile backsplash to permanently mount the unit with their hanger. - setting the time is impossible. i followed their instructions (which were apparently wrong) and couldn't set the time. being an engineer I didn't want to give up and kept pressing buttons, and button combinations, and kept pressing, pressing, pressing, etc. and finally got it into the clock set mode. I have no idea how to repeat it, so when the batteries go out, i don't know if i'll be able to reset the clock. - my biggest single complaint though is that after about 20 seconds, the scale exits the scale/weight measurement mode and return's to the clock mode. to get back to scale mode, you have to press "Tare", which re-zeros the scale. so if you had zeroed it with an empty plate and you put stuff on the plate, it'll be re-zeroed with the plate plus its contents. if you want to add stuff to the plate, you won't have a total weight count, but just what you added after you returned to scale mode. this essentially gives you a 20 second window to place everything you want to weigh on the plate. usually plenty of time, but it is a bit stressful for me and there was just no reason for this time period being so short.
Perfect Scale September 15, 2008 Marta Heller (Ormond Beach, FL) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I couldn't be happier with this scale! I have recently had gastric bypass surgery and bought this to weigh the tiny portions (1-2 ounces). Number one best feature: readout is above the scale. All of the other scales I saw had the readout at the bottom - putting it underneath the plate/food you are trying to weigh! Number two best feature: It folds for easy storage. Slides right in to a drawer. The base is glass, so I'm not sure how it would travel, but it seems pretty thick and sturdy. Number three best feature: easily goes between ounces and grams. This isn't even something I thought I'd need, but it turns out that things like egg substitute is listed in grams on the nutrition label (1 serving is = to 61g). That leads to the 4th best feature: easy to weigh other items! So I weigh my egg in grams and now I want to add an ounce of ham. I don't have to dirty another dish. Just zero out the eggs, switch to ounces and add the ham. I highly recommend this scale!
