This large stainless steel bowl accurately weighs up to 7-pounds in 1-ounce increments. The analog dial is wide and easy to read. To bring the scale back to zero, simply rotate the base. The detachable stainless steel bowl can also be used as a serving bowl. Using a kitchen scale allows you to measure ingredients precisely, so that recipes turn out perfectly. The detachable bowl is dishwasher safe. Wipe the scale clean with a damp cloth if necessary. Do not put the scale in the dishwasher.

I purchased this item in the marketplace for a large discount off the regular price. I can't say for sure if it's worth the normal price, but it was definitely worth $12 shipped. The review reflects my actual cost.
I actually bought it to use a postal scale -- postal scales themselves tend to run 2-3 times this amount or more, and only weigh up to five pounds. Moreover, the bowl isn't affixed to the base, so you can easily use it without the bowl. Hey, free stainless steel bowl with your scale! It also calibrates easily.

I was hoping for a heavier more old fashioned scale that mom had when I was growing up. THis one is quite light and looks rather cheaply made. The numbers were difficult to read. I hate to buy things and send them back, but I had to with this one. It just looked too cheap.

This is a good, nice looking non-digital scale and it is accurate. For the price what more do you want? It is a little larger than I imagined it would be, about this size of a large cantelope. Anyone trying to decorate in black or stainless will be happy with the look. The bowl holds alot too!
