Love this blender! October 18, 2007 Linda (Long Island, NY United States) I read previous reviews on this item about how LOUD it is. And I thought, well, all blenders are annoyingly loud. Yes, it is loud, but man does it do the job. Two settings; GO ALL THE WAY and PULSE. That's all you need. None of this liquify, blend, whip, puree, blah blah blah. I never did see a difference in anything I whipped versus pureed! Thought I was doing something wrong, now I know it's just a bunch of bologne! The copper looks great on my counter too, with my other copper accents in the kitchen!
Worth every penny March 22, 2007 Richard Mays 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This blender is the first which does everything the appliance is supposed to do. I have never placed much value in our previous blenders or smoothy makers. This blender has only an on/off/pulse switch, no integrated stir stick or any other special "features". Manufacturers apparently add these gimmicks to try to make you think their blender is better or more functional than the sorry one currently sitting on the counter. This blender not only does the job, it is very fast and efficient. It turns 3/4 cup of solid ice cubes into snow with a single pulse. No beating, smacking or shaking needed. Ice cream shakes take less than a minute even with carmel or fudge added. In just a few weeks we have gotten more value from this machine than any we have previously owned. If it burned up tomorrow, I would buy another. Excellent product. For me this product sets the standard for 5 star ratings.
Wow. TOO LOUD! October 1, 2006 H. Teixeira 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
I had read some reviews of this product under the stainless steel model. People said it was loud. I thought, of course it's loud, all blenders are loud. Received it today. Sounds like a jet engine is taking off in my kitchen. Yeah, that loud. The kids had their hands clamped over their ears and my husband and I were screaming over the noise. And I hadn't even added the ice yet! I got a large bath towel to wrap around the base and it muffled the sound somewhat, but I'm pretty sure I have permanent hearing loss. The copper is beautiful and it chopped the ice without struggling, but wow. SO LOUD!
Coupler broke in less than 5 days May 10, 2005 Salty (Oregon Southern Coast) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
This blender looks beautiful, love the copper look. It really fit well, with the things in my kitchen, and looked great. In less than 5 days, the coupler that connected to the blade, sheared off. It seems that it is held together by glue. My old Commercial blender has been in operation, for 10 years now, and still works - just a bit tired. We ordered the Cuisinart Stainless 600 Watt blender, hope it works better, and lasts longer than this. If you are interested in the copper model, look for the comments, under the chrome version. I missed the negative comments there, until I had the failure.
EASY to use, easy to clean & great construction! August 1, 2004 T. Holder (Anchorage, AK USA) 3 out of 7 found this review helpful
We have now owned this for 2 years, and it works just as well as it did the first day. From Gazpacho to milkshakes this is a fabulous blender. ( And I have used many different syles). Well worth the money! All be it, I just pulled this beautiful piece of machinery out of the box today...but it is incredible! All it promises to be and more. Right down to the manual, this is well worth it's price, and we even had to pay shipping to Alaska! It's heavy duty all metal construction really shows through. So much better than some of the cheap plastic imitators we owned before! =) It even has some really great recipes included with it. Just made a perfect batch of strawberry margaritas with real frozen berries, perfect consistency! I will definitely keep you updated as time goes by and I get to try it out on soups and milkshakes, mousses and dips!
