Versatile and powerful November 25, 2008 Boston Book Addict (Boston, Mass.) When I put this food processor on my Christmas list last year my parents doubted whether I would actually use it. After all, I already had a Cuisinart blender, Kitchenaid stand mixer, and smaller Cuisinart food processor, what use could I possibly have for an 11 cup food processor? After a year of using it I can easily say, a lot. My initial draw to this food processor was for bread making. I do not have a bread maker so all of my kneading has been done by hand or using my stand mixer. The dough blade has proven perfect for making bread dough in my food processor. I find that it is powerful enough that it kneads the bread even more quickly and evenly than my stand mixer which makes bread baking a breeze. I also dabble in vegetarian cooking and find that the dough blade also works perfectly when making seitan and other vegetarian meat substitutes from scratch. I have also found that it does an excellent job on pie crusts by incorporating the chilled butter evenly and perfectly, something I always found challenging to do by hand. I've also found that I get a tremendous amount of use out of the slicing and shredding blades. They work wonderfully for grating cheese, shredding lettuce, and slicing vegetables. I love how it cuts my prep time in half and is easy to clean up afterwards. Overall I have been thrilled with this appliance. It has proven so versatile and powerful that I find I am constantly finding new uses for it and loving how it makes me more efficient in the kitchen. As other reviewers have said, I am at heart a Kitchenaid girl, but the usefulness and durability of this appliance speaks for itself.
Pleased November 24, 2008 Gram I bought the 11 cup instead of the 14 cup processor because I can use my other discs from the old 7 cup processor with it. I'm glad I don't have to buy all new discs. There was nothing wrong with my old unit , I wanted a bigger one.
The best food processor ever June 24, 2008 William M. Morrissey (San Diego, CA.) Cuisinart invented the food processor and this model is about as good as it gets:) A lot of thought went into this model and it shows. The dual sized mouth is a great idea. I've used it to make bread, cookies, truffles and prepare other ingredients for use in a lot of different receipts. The over all quality is self evident. It's very fast, and easy to use and clean up. I would recommend it to anyone.
Great Product!!! June 9, 2008 Matthew S. Balsavage (USA) The food processor is awesome!! Everything we expected and getting much use out of it already.
GREAT food processor February 13, 2008 Kenneth E. Saari I love it! The only drawback is that sometimes the metal blades are TOO pulverizing. I once used a smaller model of this same processor that had a plastic blade that was ideal for making salsa. However, even so, I prefer the larger processor!
