Product Description Heavy, sturdy tool for peeling vegetables, fruits, forming cheese curls / Sharp Safe Practical / Easy to use
Amazon.com Review With a large, high-carbon, cutlery-grade stainless-steel swivel blade, this heavy, sturdy European-style tool peels fruits and vegetables and forms cheese curls with precision and speed. The peeler has a stylish enamel-like handle, with accent bands of 18/8 stainless steel polished to a mirror finish, and is dishwasher-safe. The peeler's handle is shaped for a firm grip, is weighty enough to provide control, and has a hole to facilitate hanging on a hook or peg. The blade is 2-1/4 inches long. Overall, the peeler measures 7-1/2 inches long. KitchenAid says the first year of the peeler's lifetime warranty against defects is hassle-free; the company will ship a replacement at no cost and without question if a defect is detected. --Fred Brack

Five years old and still going strong August 28, 2008 patrick808 (Honolulu, Hawaii) Comfort is subjective, and hard to test online. But, I can say that the KitchenAid Peeler I bought five years ago is still happily in use today.
Great start....bad finish April 29, 2008 Susie Q (Olive Branch, MS United States) I was very happy with this Kitchen Aid peeler for about a year. All of a sudden, it has gone dull on me and I'll have to buy a new peeler, but not a Kitchen Aid. This is the second Kitchen Aid product I have been disappointed with. The first was the expensive hand-held can opener that I returned and replaced with a Progressive model that I love. I am giving up on the Kitchen Aid small items (but love my dishwasher!) This time I'll try the OXO peeler. It gets rave reviews and has a replaceable blade.
good quality but a lil uncomfortable April 10, 2007 S. Raghuwanshi (Australia) The product is of good quality no doubt, but the grip is a lil uncomfortable for me, thats all.I wish the handle were a little slim..
LOVE IT! You'll never buy another brand of peeler again! November 28, 2006 Virginia G. (Macon, GA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I got this as part of a set. Used it only once and threw out the two cheap ones I had. This peeler is well worth the investment. I actually began getting volunteers in my kitchen to help peel potatoes once I got this beauty. I do recommend that you be careful to hang on to the plastic cover that comes on the blade when it is new. It protects the blade while in the drawer. And if your utensil drawer is like mine, it will protect rambling fingers from the sharp blades!!!
Best peeler I've ever had! October 4, 2006 E. Harris (Somewhereyou'renot, TX) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This peeler works great! I really do not like to peel fruits and veggies, but with this I actually don't mind. Definately owns up to the KitchenAid repuation, which lately is unlikely. It seems many of the KitchenAid stuff I've stocked my kitchen with performs mediocre at best. This one is an exception, and IS exceptional.
