Great Teakettle November 30, 2008 Agnes L. Keenan (sCape May Court House, NJ) I already have this teakettle from KitchenAid. I bought it for my daughter since she is remoldening her kitchen and useing Almond or Bisque appliances. This particular teakettle in this dolor is svery diffucult to find, and was fortunate to find it on Amazon. Your the best for finding products otherwise hard to find. It arrived in an appropiate time and in perfect condition. Many thanks for being available when needed. Mrs Agnes Keenan
Stylish and Functional November 24, 2008 C. Crane (Louisville, KY) This kettle is just what I was looking for, and the color and design are perfect for my kitchen. I love the simplicity of the shape, and the fact that the stopper and handle are NOT plastic. The only challenge is getting all of the water out, but that just requires turning it upside down and shaking it in the sink. Otherwise, it is a great tea kettle, a great price (I originally bought the Le Creuset kettle, but returned it as soon as I found this one for half the price), and I am very pleased with it.
5+ star review! November 23, 2008 Jane Abendschoen (York, Pa) My beautiful kitchen aid (brushed stainless steal) tea kettle! Believe me, I've owned a lot. Many were simply decorative, so I am well aware of kettles that must go hand in hand with using a kitchen mitt! Some had whistles, some didn't. I prefer this whistle, as it can be heard if someone walks out of the kitchen, forgetting they had the kettle on! It's loud, but I'd much rather it be that way. (I'm into safety...being a nurse.) This one does get a bit warm, but you can still use it comfortably and without a oven mitt if you fill the kettle about half way. I had no trouble removing the piece of tape as some reviewers had complained about. A little soft rub with a scouring pad (no, it didn't scratch) took it right off. The packaging was wonderful and my item came without damage. It is one more "jew" of my kitchen, as I also own a kitchen aid professional mixer (silver.) I have all white appliances, but these beauties make me dream of getting all stainless steal! That will be another review though! Jane
Poor construction-Poor design November 15, 2008 Ken Yanko (Joliet, IL United States) While this teapot looks great, it is poorly engineered. There is an insulator between the handle and the body. What happens when you introduce plastic into the vicinity of an open flame? You guessed it; it melts. Bad design, bad engineering, bad product.
Flaking on the inside October 27, 2008 C. Cook (Arlington VA) 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
I have had this teapot for 3 years and did not have any problems until it was accidentally put it through the dishwasher (instructions say handwash only). Now there is some flaking of the coating on the inside of the pot. Haven't found anything on the web of whether this is hazardous but I'm worried about using with this flaking.
