4 out of 5 stars Fine product   July 3, 2008

Biggest issue I have had with blenders in the past is frozen drinks. I like them very icy and most blenders are unable to keep blending because the ice is too solid. I thought the shape of this blender's container and the position of the blades would make it work better. And it does slightly better job, but my opinion is no traditional blender can do a great job on icy drinks.
Overall the blender is a quality product and good design, cleanup is easy. However, they don't recommend throwing it in the dishwasher every time, so only time will tell if it holds up for me.

5 out of 5 stars Nice choice.   July 2, 2008

In the few weeks since we got this blender we have used it at least every other day.
It stays on the counter near the matching-color KitchenAid mixer and looks great. The performance is great; malts, smoothies, veggie drinks, margueritas, and cooking/pureeing jobs are no problem to use and clean-up.
The 12 mo. warranty is impressive as well.
I recommend this mid-priced appliance for looks function and price.

3 out of 5 stars Satisfactory   July 1, 2008

This blender works fine. It doesn't work great. It doesn't process small amounts of food well without a lot of work to get the food to the blade. I've had it for around 4 months now and it's getting the job done just fine though. I just wish it was a bit easier to use for the smaller tasks.

4 out of 5 stars Works well...but LOUD   June 18, 2008

We originally had the previous model of this blender with a glass jar. We loved it and had it for 2 years before the motor burned out. I feel it worked hard for its price. My husband used it twice daily to make thick protein shakes. When we received our new polycarbonate version, the motor burned out in just a few days. Amazon was great and sent a replacement and we've been using the new one with no problems for over a month now. Love the large capacity, polycarbonate jar. It works well, but very noisy. Overall, pretty good purchase.

4 out of 5 stars Bought one. No! Make that Two.   June 14, 2008

I purchased a Kitchenaid KSB560MC 5-Speed Blender a few weeks ago for the Condo. We have now ordered another Kitchenaid 560 Blender for the office. The third blender at the house is a different brand and cost $349.99. Both brands of blenders are nice, but the price of the Kitchenaid KSB560MC Blender is much more palatable and it looks good, too! Also, when I was looking for blenders these are the only two blenders that were acceptable to the standards that I set.
