Just like the OLD Swing-A-Way manual can openers October 22, 2008 Jewelry Lover (Denver, CO) Are you old enough to remember the OLD Swing-A-Way manual can openers that would ALWAYS open any can in the house? This is it. The weight and balance and cutting angle are just right. You won't find a can -- of condensed milk, peas, or fruit that this will not open perfectly. Many new can openeners have trouble if the angle is not quite right on the top or leave uncut strips on the upper surface. Or else your hand gets tired from trying to twist the crank. Not this bad boy. It really does the job and is easy to use. I can't recommend it highly enough. It's pink too! that deserves five and a half stars!
Just a can opener February 25, 2008 Pennsylvania Shopper (PA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this can opener because it was pink and the KitchenAid name. It was just like the average "deluxe" hand can opener but cost a little more. The handles are nice and the part that you turn is a little nicer than a flat piece of metal found on the $5 ones. I think people - like me - paid for it because it was pink & KitchenAid.
great at first... February 13, 2008 S. Stevens (Georgetown, KY United States) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I purchased this opener about eight months ago, and like the others who wrote reviews I was thrilled with the quality... skip forward eight months and... well it just wears out, it won't cut through a single can. I've never had a can opener wear out so fast.
Really excellent product January 29, 2008 Shelly (Pennsylvania) This is a terrific can opener - very sharp, cuts through lids with ease. The handles are great - well balanced and take very little pressure. Every kitchen should have one of these, even if you have an electric opener. My Mom has severe arthritis, and this opener is a dream for her to use. One of the best gadgets Kitchenaid has come out with. Highly recommend this product! And the donations to the Susan Komen Foundation is a most excellent bonus! Buy several - one for you and some for gifts - you won't be sorry!
For the Cure Can Opener August 16, 2007 wjo (Colorado) Love it, which it had a bottle opener on it. The silicone handles are really nice.
