Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Though the first waffle iron was created in the United States in the mid 19th century, waffles in some shape or form have been around for over 1,000 years. Italians made pizzelles - a thin waffle that was eaten as a cookie at festivals. As a popular breakfast treat, the waffle came into its own by the mid-20th century. It is considered the third most popular breakfast food after eggs and pancakes. Many love waffles because it offers a sense of substance that can support a variety of toppings and variations. Though waffles are available in supermarket freezers, none can compare to a freshly made waffle from an iron. Thankfully, the Kitchenaid KPWB100NP Pro Line Waffle Baker is here for you. It demonstrates that you can appreciate honest-to-goodness waffle flavor with the convenience and comfort of your own home. Indulge yourself (and loved ones) with unique waffle recipes that help turn breakfast into a resounding overture to a new day. But why limit the waffle to breakfast alone? This baker makes it so easy that you can enjoy them almost anytime. We really think that, with this fine Kitchen Aid waffle baker, one day the waffle will edge out pancakes and become the #2 ordered breakfast food. Join the revolution. 5 out of 5 stars Worth every penny   December 1, 2008
D. Ireland (Silverdale, Washington, USA)
We have been using it for a year and it makes the best waffles I have ever had. The Golden malted batter is a perfect match also.
It has been easy to clean even with fresh blueberries mixed in (well a little harder with the berries).
The waffles are so good that we have used it many times as a dessert for guests. (Don't laugh until you have tried it for dessert with whipped cream etc). Cooks fast and even and heats up fast. Couldn't be happier. friends who have seen it in action all buy one.
I was going to give it only 4 stars because I put on ten pounds using it but I decided it wasn't the fault of the waffle iron... it's my wife's fault of course. She did the research and purchase :)

5 out of 5 stars The Best Waffle Maker!   October 7, 2008

Best product worth every penny spent on it. So easy to use, and makes the waffles perfect everytime.

5 out of 5 stars Great waffle maker   October 4, 2008
T. R. Baumaster
I read several reviews about this before I bought it and realized several were over a year old. This isn't a precision piece of equipment, it is a waffle maker. With that said, it makes great waffles, two at a time, to your liking with some adjustment, and they are huge, plate sized. It is easy to break one and half and feed two people. I recommend this if you want to be able to make great waffles for a crowd quick.

When I took my Kitchenaid waffle maker out of the box, I noticed immediately how heavy and "durable" it felt. I read the instructions, turned it on, and started using the waffle maker. It made big, fluffy waffles. I was very happy. The next time I used it, about a month later, the unit would not turn on. I checked my power cord (even plugged in my Vitamix blender to see if I had blown a circuit) and everything looked fine. My batter was ready, but the unit would not turn on. It was really frustrating, especially since my sister was visiting from Montreal and I had told her what great waffles this machine made. [...]

5 out of 5 stars very good quality waffle iron   September 6, 2008

this waffle iron has all the features you need.
Timer
ready light
dual sided

What I can't understand is why this waffle maker makes better waffles than all the previous models we have had. We use the same recipe but the waffles out of this machine turn out noticeably superior. we have had no problems with this waffle maker and it appears to be very well-built. This waffle maker is much heavier than its competitors.
