Product Description 9 Precise Speeds / Soft-Start for better control / Pro Whisk Attachment / Easy Clean / Ergonomic / 120 Volt Powered AC Ergonomically designed for seemingly effortless use Quiet but powerful motor Handy and compact storage
Amazon.com Review Professional chefs have long sung the praises of the KitchenAid stand mixer. Now, KitchenAid has designed a product specifically for the home baker with this nine-speed hand mixer. Its digital display shows the selected speed, providing precision control, while an electronic sensor works with the powerful yet lightweight motor to maintain that speed in any mixture, heavy to light. Designed with nonclogging air vents, the mixer is easy to clean because smooth, sleek surfaces have no seams or grooves that trap ingredients. The mixer comes with traditional beaters, a pro whisk attachment for fluffier mixes, and a one-year warranty. --Linda Dahlstrom

Get the warranty December 2, 2008 Patricia Harris (TX) I wish I could give this a no star rating. When I got this mixer I loved it! It was quiet and efficient. But i used it for a litte more than a year and rarely at that. I didn't even use it once a month. Now it's dead and just refuses to turn on. I should have paid attention to the reivews when I bought it but I didn't, now I'm stuck and the company refuses to do anything. The one I had previos to this one was not even a major brand I picked up at the local Wal-Mart for about $10. It lasted for about 15 years.
Works Until It Doesn't November 16, 2008 New Dad (Seattle) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This was an enjoyable appliance when it worked, and I was quite pleased with it until a couple months ago when it just wouldn't turn on. I'm not a big baker so it was used very lightly. I purchased it only a little over a year ago and it is already dead. Fortunately my American Express extends the warranty by a year so I'm able to get a refund. My old cruddy 3-speed $15 hand mixer lasted for years and years - 10+ years. I'm disappointed in this KitchenAid product - so much for KitchenAid quality.
Great Product November 9, 2008 C. S. Murray I read all the reviews before I purchased this product. I love to back and when making cookies I often double the recipe. I chose this product for its power and varied speed settings. I was not disappointed. It has worked wonderfully! I LOVE this mixer!
Love it! November 2, 2008 Felicia A. Hill (Vancouver, WA) This little sucker packs a punch! I just completed a Wilton Cake decorating class, and was told by the instructor not to use a hand mixer becasuse the motor would burn up. Little did she know, Kitchenaid had this awsome mixer! I have made icing, cake, cookies and dough with no problems at all. I love how easy the clean up is. Don't pass this one up, just buy it now!!!
handheld KitchenAid mixer October 22, 2008 Grayrider (MidWest) This was a gift for my wife. She is a serious cook and also owns a KitchenAid stand mixer. This is the perfect compliment. I selected it based on the Consumer's Report review. Have to say it was a good choice.
