AN EXCELLENT BLENDER September 1, 2008 D. Garner (High Ridge, MO, USA) As a consumer who has tried MANY different blenders over the years, I have to say that this is by far the best blender that we have ever had. We have "MARGARITA NIGHT" every Friday at our house so a good blender is a must in our household. This KitchenAid is truly everything that it claims to be. And I really love that clean-up is so easy with the one piece design. Of course, I guess to replace the blade, you have to replace the entire jar and I think that it runs around $50.00 but I still would recommend this blender to everyone.
Love this Blender! August 31, 2008 J. Duncan (Attalla, AL USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I know there have been some users who reported problems with this blender leaking, but that has not been the case with mine. However, there is a nut on the bottom of the pitcher to tighten or replace the blades if leaking or damage does occur. This is entirely likely over time because of the high speed, pulse, and crushed ice settings. Like most KitchenAid products, this blender is heavy duty. It is very well constructed, easy to clean, and looks great. I would definately buy it again.
I love this big, sturdy blender! August 28, 2008 Laura (Austin) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This KitchenAid is the best blender I have ever owned, and I absolutely love the polycarbonate jar instead of glass (someone in my family always manages to break it) which is why this is about my fifth blender. I think I've only had one actually wear out. The plastic is such a nice, lightweight, easy to handle change from the heavy glass and it is high quality and sturdy. My favorite thing about this blender is the "stir" button. It is very low power, slow blending which is great for certain things. I have never before had a blender that doesn't overmix everything so this setting is much appreciated by me! The pulse setting which can be used with all the speeds works very well and it does a great job with ice. The only very minor problem is when doing small jobs, such as making one smoothie. I still use my smaller beehive for that as this Kitchenaid has a rather wide bottom and doesn't do as well with smaller amounts for some reason. One other comment I would like to make is regarding the top. As with all but one of my former blenders, it is difficult to take the center piece out to pour things in while the blender is running. You need two hands and I find myself just lifting the whole top up rather than fighting with the center piece.
Fantastic blender/smoothie maker! Even frozen fruit blends. August 25, 2008 ch Have only used 3 times so far but already love it!!!! Made a soup using chopped vegetables and made a smoothie using frozen fruit. Both were easy for the blender to handle and both came out perfectly smooth. FINALLY a powerful blender under $300!
great blender August 24, 2008 whisperer (ohio) We like frozen drinks and smoothies with frozen fruit and this blender quickly blends the ice and frozen chunks of fruit with no problem. We've never had a blender work so efficiently!
