Product Description Hamilton Beach resolves the complaints of many customers tired of chopping fruits and vegetables to feed through ordinary home juicer chutes. The Big Mouth Pro Juice Extractor is designed to accept whole fruits - or at least larger pieces - for speedier, easier juicing. When it's more convenient, you're more likely to use it. So don't shy away from the fresh taste and nutrition of freshly extracted juices. With its large chute and powerful motor, juicing at home makes more sense than ever. Juice cup included

Excellent Juicer July 17, 2008 Organic Nut (PA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This juicer is fantastic - simple to operate, quiet, powerful, very high yield, simple cleanup, and rock bottom price.
Not worth all of the 5-star reviews July 15, 2008 joe bitterman (somewhere with carmen sandiago) This is my first juicer purchase and I've come away a bit disappointed. Don't bother with this machine if you are interested in juicing softer fruits such as blueberries, cherries, and pineapple. All you'll get is a drip-drop of juice and a bunch of mush in the trash bin. It seems to do its job with carrots, celery, beets, and tomatoes. It seems so-so with apples and oranges, but again, the pulp is very moist, i.e. a lot of lost juice. As far as the recommendation to put a plastic bag in the bin, I don't see the point. You've got to wash basically the whole machine after use, so what's one more part? Why waste so many plastic bags to save 16 seconds? Also, if the bag doesn't fit right the bin won't fit and you're going to be cleaning up carrot shards that have blasted against the walls and floor (first juicing attempt). Bottom line, if you are just jumping into juicing and your likely to use it only for hard vegetables (carrots, celery), than I think it's alright to consider purchasing it.
average July 10, 2008 G. Watkins (HI) im quite happy with the service ive recieved from seller, however, the product itself is only average and i can tell ill be needing to purchase another juicer within a year... i had never owned a juicer bfore and the research i did didnt inform me the quality i was buying. reviews and ofcourse advertisements said it was quailty but its cheap and in only 5 uses ive noticed a reduction in performance, ie; its become much louder, blades instantly dulled from only carrot juicing, it also shoots the waste out the vent hole, i had to block it off to save washing the wall each time, like i said, with in a year or less ill be buying another and ill probably spend the money this time, dont buy a 'hamilton beach'
Very happy with this juicer July 5, 2008 Wes Injerd (Hillsboro, OR) Purchased this in January 2008 and it's worked great, producing some excellent juices, mostly carrot and apple. Does fine with softer vegies, too. The "post-nasal drip" is not an issue as we just use a 1-quart yogurt container for collecting the juice and then put another there to catch the drip. We put a plastic bag in the pulp catcher and that makes clean-up a whiz. The noise is somewhat annoying initially, but it's not on that long anyway. There is a lot of torque, though, and perhaps someday that will be lessened with a slower starting motor yet retaining its power. All in all, we're satisfied with this product. Thanks to all of you former reviewers for helping me make this purchase!
Happy with this juicer July 5, 2008 MissPammy 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've owned several juicers, including a very low-end one that barely lasted a month, two Juiceman juicers, and a Champion juicer. This one is my favorite. It's the easiest to clean, juices the fastest, is easier to take apart, and has the power to get the maximum amount of juice out of the vegetables put into it. I juice every day, and that adds up to a lot of money spent on vegetables, so I appreciate the fact that it extracts a substantial amount of juice from them. The pulp is not really dry, so I assume that a far more expensive model could do even better at that, but I'm satisfied for the money I spent. Not sure why this is called the "chrome" model, since the juicer itself is black, not chrome, but it does seem sturdier and better made than my latest Juiceman juicer. My original juiceman was great and lasted several years, but when it bit the dust, I bought another one thinking it would be the same quality, and subsequently found out the company name had been bought out. The second Juiceman juicer lasted less than two months and was a pain to use (they're now made in China). I've only had this juicer a few days, but I can already tell it does a much better job. The Champion is a very high-quality juicer, but it takes up way too much counter space, is a pain to take apart and clean, and does not strain the juice. I never use it. I would rather use a juicer that makes the job quick and easy. The Hamilton-Beach is excellent and it gets the juicing done in a minimum of time. Clean-up is easy. I've always thought Hamilton-Beach was a good brand, and now I'm convinced of it.
