| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description The lightweight, flexible Platypus Big Zip II 1.8-Liter Hydration System is totally taste-free and comes complete with a drinking tube and HyperFlow bite valve. Tough enough to stand up to freezing and boiling, it makes an ideal upgrade or replacement component for an existing hydration pack, and instantly converts any standard pack into a hands-free hydration system. The Platypus Big Zip II 1.8-Liter reservoir features a wide opening for easy filling and cleaning. The face-mounted hose port makes it simple to get the reservoir in and out of your pack. The entire system is leak-proof. The Big Zip reservoir closure has a self-energizing seal to prevent accidental opening. The durable tri-layer laminate film is extremely puncture and abrasion resistant, and it's backed by a lifetime warranty. There's even a shut-off valve to prevent accidental spillage (like when your buddy sits his pack on top of your bite valve). The ergonomic 90 degree shutoff valve allows for easy drinking, and the Hyperflow Bite Valve delivers a high flow rate which is important when you want to stay well-hydrated on the go. Both the reservoir and drinking tube are polyethylene-lined for a completely taste-free system that resists bacterial growth.

Great Resevoir, with one hitch February 21, 2008 Thomas Hurst Pro's: -Easy to fill and clean -No leaks as of yet -Drinking spout easy to operate, even while biking Con's: -No grommet, or hole to strap inside bag with Bottom line: This product was great in every field, except for one. When I got it, I was under the impression that I would be able to slip the strap in my backpack through a grommet and be good to go, but to my dismay, no grommet. This makes the reservoir impossible to hang from anywhere, and without a makeshift duct-tape harness, it sits at the bottom of my back, the hose connector pressing into my back while I ride my bike. If this one flaw could be fixed, this would be the perfect low-profile water solution.
