3 out of 5 stars Good every day boot   July 14, 2008

I've owned three pairs of these boots over the last ten years or so. They're comfortable, and they meet my needs on a daily basis. I've used them for light hiking, fishing, camping, and snow removal, and they perform admirably in most conditions. For the price, they're an excellent all-around boot. The only time they've really fallen short is when I've been climbing steep, sandy trails and doing some minor bouldering. They weren't designed for this, and they tend to slip when you really have to dig in. A vibram sole would probably fix this.

Overall a good boot for everyday wear. For serious hiking and trekking, however, go with a Merrell or Vasque.
