This kickboard by Speedo is durable and lightweight. It is just about the right size for our 3 year old AND she will be able to use it for years to come. She really likes the images of the sharks on the kickboard but I could see how they might be scary for other children. Good price and great quality.

I bought this to use as a shield when my seven year old grandson and I try to smash each other in the face with a water frisbee in our complex's pool. His kickboard is solid yellow and of course we had to negotiate a trade since mine is so cool.
We also use it to "surf" with me supplying the lift as he stands on it....for a nanosecond. And a seat with Grandma power pushing it along. So it is more than a kickboard, however, it works for that purpose, too.
