The timer features a timeout/pause function that allows you to restart as many times as necessary. It instantly resets to your pre-selected countdown time.  Great flight duration countdown timer for RC airplane enthusiasts July 16, 2008

Purchased this product to support my RC airplane hobby ... as a flight duration countdown timer so I know when it's time to land. Nice loud audible beep that doesn't stop till you hit the start/stop button (on front face). Perfect. No more dead stick landings due to me having too much fun and forgetting to bring it down. Easy/quick to reset to a different duration: hold min + sec buttons down for 2 seconds to reset (located on top), click the minutes button N times for N minutes (N=1-99). Seconds are adjustable as well via second button. Highly recommend if you are looking for a simple, robust, very audible (not annoying or loud, just hard to miss if you are 'involved' in something) count time timer. The adjustable lanyard is also of high quality.
 Not good for a shot clock for basketball March 15, 2008

I purchased this count down timer to use as a hand held shot clock/timer for basketball but you cannot stop and reset the timer. Yes, you can restart the count down but you'll have to wait until the time expires for it to reset. The manual is pretty sparse so if there is away to do this, it is not in the manual or on the Robic web site.
