Mediocre quality, but nice features November 30, 2006 Joe from Colorado (Golden, CO USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I own two of these, which we use for racing applications. It has a lot of features, though they're not very intuitive to use. I don't use the speed function a lot, and every time I do I have to pull out the manual. I never use the alarm, but somehow it set itself and I just haven't bothered (in 6 months) to find the $%*&^ manual to figure out how to turn it off. But those are relative trifles compared to my real beef--the buttons (those we use all the time for lap timing) tend to stick unless you are careful to push STRAIGHT down on them. If they stick, you lose the timing for that lap, and the next one, until you get things back in order. If not for that, these would be great.
Great for the slalom course June 14, 2005 P. Lang I was skeptical at first but my Robic SC-554 has paid for itself again and again. I ski behind many different boats with many variations in speedo accuracy. This stopwatch was easy to program and now we know exactly how fast we are pulling a skier thru the course - in MPH, not seconds. I know at least 6 others who own this unit and we all like them -- no failures. Some folks have modified the watch to operate with a footpedal.
