We've had our pool for over 15 years and have used many different floatation devices with our children and very few offered safety with flexibility and durability. We bought one of these earlier this year at Wal-Mart for our 3-year-old grandaughter because she didn't feel secure in other devices, and needed to be held most of the time. Her "Froggie" (earlier design) allows her to float upright without tipping over; but gives her freedom of movement that other floatation devices don't. She can move her arms and loves the fact that she cam swim "by myself". Now she's confident enough to kick her feet and "swim" to and from us. So, like someone else said, we can play with her instead of holding her.
The material covering the device doesn't chafe her skin like other floaties; and the back strap lets you adjust the fit easily for any size toddler or preschooler. It's been heavily used all summer and the material is still holding up well.
Then there's the familiarity and reputation of a Stearn's 'Coast Guard Approved' floatation device. We are here to definitely buy more!

I bought two of these( one for a four year old, the other for a two year old.), they are wonderful. My two year old did not want to be helped in the pool and continued to walk in deeper water, of course going under. He continued this, so when I bought this it solved all our problems. He could float with minimal assistance and it kept the screaming and thrashing to a minumum. These worked better than the single floaties. Plus they are cute.

I purchased this for my 3 year old. She loves it! It gives her the freedom to swim "by myself" (as she likes to say). It allows my husband and I to play with her in the water rather than just holding her. She uses her "ladybug" all the time. It gives her freedom of movement and is not bulky like some other other ones.
