Customer Reviews:

2 out of 5 stars Measures 9 inches flat and stretches up to 30 inches = LIE!   August 14, 2008
E. R. Anderson (Phoenix, AZ USA)
I am a huge fan of the grossly overpriced Yogitoes line. I've purchased every color hBand (please someone tell me why you would buy them in a 4 pack for $23.95 when you can purchase them individually - not always in stock on Amazon, but definitely elsewhere -for between $2.50 and - at the very most - $3.95!?!). The only reason I'm not giving the yStrap just one star is because it's from yogitoes. Otherwise, if you want to purchase this for yoga practice (or anything else) I TRULY hope that you are purchasing a normal strap also. Why? BECAUSE IT'S USELESS!

A) It doesn't unbuckle (why have a "buckle" then? much less two!), therefore you cannot use it for the wrapping or sitting poses where you wrap it around you and buckle or tie.

B) It doesn't stretch 30 inches (not even close), so you can't use it for leg stretches/poses, or even most arm stretches.

The only function that the yStrap may have is to bridge the gap when you can't clasp hands, but I actually think that a hand towel works better in that instance as well!

Don't get me wrong though. I'm not angry about it's uselessness and I'm definitely keeping it. After all, it's yogitoes. Their accessories are to yoga what juicy couture is to tracksuits. Some items are useful/well made but for the most part it's all just marketing and materialism. Just save your $ and buy the ecodot or the mSeat. :)

UPDATE-the "buckle" makes this product very easy to break as well...so if you want to try and stretch it to even half of the promised "30 inches" (I swear it goes 15 at the most! That's a little bigger than a ruler people, it may just cover a pigeon's wingspan) plan on hearing the plastic snap, or being constant fear that it will snap (I suggest trying it out alone before putting other yogis at risk of sharp orange plastic flying objects).
