Amazon.com Review A perfect gift for new homemakers, the food processor has become an integral part of modern cooking, speeding up a multitude of processes, including kneading dough, slicing, chopping, shredding cheese, vegetables and meat, mincing garlic and parsley, mixing batters, and emulsifying mayonnaise. Cuisinart's Pro Classic comes with a 7-cup work bowl, four basic attachments for slicing, shredding, chopping, mixing, and kneading, and also features two feed tube options, one big enough to handle a whole potato. This processor comes with a compact cover for use when the feed tube isn't needed and a pulse control that allows the desired degree of fineness when chopping and puréeing. Remove the detachable stem for compact storage of discs. All the parts are dishwasher-safe and the motor base wipes clean. In addition, a custom-contoured spatula, a 50-page recipe booklet, and a 30-minute video designed to familiarize the new owner with the care and use of the food processor are included. --Victoria Jenkins

A Monster! September 5, 2008 Lizhar (Tallahassee, FL) This food processor is wonderful! I was really surprised as to the weight of the machine - it's a monster! It processes food with the greatest of ease.
Making friends with a Cuisanart August 29, 2008 R. Simon (NYC) This great big cuisanart arrived to replace a little old model I got in the 70s. It seems not only big but a bit complicated to operate...any appliance that needs a DVD to explain itself has a slight problem. However, it works well once you wrangle it into position. I'm beginning to like it alot!
lousy lid August 18, 2008 Suzham (Texas) The food processor works fine. But the lid is difficult to manage and clean. I think it was designed by lawyers who were more concerned about the possibility of a cut finger than chopping or grating food. I'd rather have a Robot Coupe, but for the price this is ok.
Quiet, efficient, if a little small August 15, 2008 Domenico Bettinelli (Peabody, MA USA) While I didn't try using this in my lap or mistake it for a saucepan (see 1-star reviews), I have used the DLC-10S for a variety of kitchen tasks and it's performed very well. I was astounded at how quiet it is, especially compared to my old Black & Decker food processor. I'm happy to have the two different lids. I rarely use the feed chute so it's handy to have the low-profile lid, yet I'm happy to have the other when it's needed. One caveat: While my old B&D was also a 7-cup model, the design of the bowl meant that I could fill it fairly full with no problem. However, because the center post of the Cuisinart is so low, anything very liquid-y will leak through, as it does whenever I make my salsa. Seems to me that 7 cups should mean 7 cups. On the other hand, the whole machine is comfortingly heavy and stable, meaning it doesn't have a tendency to bounce around the countertop when working, even if the load becomes a bit unbalanced. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase and I look forward to many years of service.
Works forever! August 11, 2008 An Amazon Customer (USA) I got this model for a wedding shower gift in 1983! It is now 25 years later, & I am still using it & it never had to be repaired, unbelievable! And, the blades are still sharp. Mine came with a book ;) Works like a charm!
