Amazon.com Review This sturdy, durable wand steamer presses wrinkles out of garments, drapes, and upholstery quicker and easier than an iron, and it doesn't "shine" or scorch fabrics like an iron can. Wand steamers are popular in the fashion and entertainment fields, where wardrobe crews must keep clothing immaculate while working quickly. This 1,300-watt steamer shoots high-velocity steam jets out of a 6-inch-wide head to smooth any fabric from sheer silk to thick wool. A removable water tank provides up to 90 minutes of steaming time. The steamer heats in a minute and then rolls to work on sturdy casters. Garments and drapes can be pressed where they hang, including closets, or garments can be hung from a loop atop the steamer's sturdy aluminum rod, which screws together to rise 62 inches above the floor. For storage, the rod has a holder for the wand. Indicative of the steamer's quality is the brass fitting attaching the hose to the tank. (A wrench to tighten the fitting is included, and it has magnets for storage on the base.) Other features include an automatic safety shutoff if the steamer runs dry and a stay-cool wand handle. The steamer's plastic base measures 11 inches wide, 17 inches high, and 14-1/2 inches deep. The steamer carries a one-year warranty against defects. --Fred Brack

Wished I'd bought it sooner September 21, 2008 K. Nguyen (San Jose, CA United States) I bouth the Jiffy Steamer J-2000 after reading reviews posted on Amazon. One of the best purchases I've made in years. This steamer works like a charm. My clothes thick and thin were smoothed out within minutes. It is easy to use and it fits neatly inside my closet. My only complaint is that the hose can get pretty hot so you'd have to take extra precautions, else you may get hurt. If you dislike ironing like me, this is the solution. Wished I'd bought it sooner.
Life saver September 10, 2008 N. Borget I am so happy I read other reviews on this product and made the decision to purchase it. I would highly recomend this to anyone that is looking for a steamer. If you are looking to freshen up or get those hanger marks out of your clothes, this is the steamer for you. I had a pair of cotton pants folded in a pile, they looked pretty bad and I tried the steamer on them and all the fold marks came out with ease!! Really worth the money spent.
Doesn't do much September 7, 2008 fxscout (Pasadena, CA United States) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased this based on the positive reviews here. Here's my experience. It definitely does not approach an iron as far as making your clothes looking sharp, finished. It sort of takes some wrinkles out of some types of clothes. Even after "pressing", your clothes still look a little rumpled. Forget about using this on any type of heavy fabric like pants or knit shirts. The only thing I found it did ok (and only ok) were light-weight cotton shirts. I would say it's faster for sure but I'm returning it. It just doesn't do the job.
Great at gettng rid of wrinkles, but not sturdy August 26, 2008 E. Mccann (Los Angeles, CA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I am a stylist and use this to steam clothing for photo shoots. It works great on all fabrics, I use it for denim, silk, satin, cotton, nylon, ect. The only thing that bothers me is that it is very unstable. We have two and one constantly leaks water all over the floor because it has fallen over multiple times. If the garment that you are steaming is too heavy then the steamer may fall over. Also, the pole to hang the clothes on becomes loose after doing the front and turning the garment to steam the back. The pole is only one height which makes it complicated to steam floor length gowns. If anyone has trouble getting wrinkles out, try steaming from the inside of the garment. If there are still wrinkles then they are probably permanent. I've had knitted t-shirts that still have faint wrinkles after multiple steams, it probably has something to do with the production of the garment, not the steamer.
Greatest Product Ever! August 24, 2008 B. B. Boyer 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this for my wife to cut down on her ironing time and boy was it worth it. If you are looking to buy a steamer, go with this one. I have recommended it to my family and we are all extremely satisfied.
