Inspired by Jana Kolpen's book about a French farmhouse, Pfaltzgraff Pistoulet tableware has a spontaneous rustic charm that enhances the pleasures of cooking, eating, and conversing. These three nesting bowls, crafted from durable stoneware, add equal parts utility and joy to mixing and serving jobs. Each bowl features a soft yellow exterior ornamented with a row of freely rendered and very cheerful sunflowers standing at attention. Two of the bowls have bright yellow interiors; the third sports a soft green wash inside. Maroon banding and hash marks add definition and liveliness. These are very pretty bowls, especially if you like sunflowers!! They are much bigger than I expected, which was a plus for me. Highly recommended!

We just received this set as a wedding gift from friends and we love it! The bowls are sturdy, ample in size and weight, safe for use in practically all kitchen environments (oven, dishwasher, etc.), and beautiful to look at. They will never be hidden away when friends come to visit, but used as serving pieces. The sunflowers aren't hand painted, yet they look as though they are... unless someone is REALLY looking. The entire Pistoulet collection will make a whimsical (although not "overdone") addition to our sunflower-filled kitchen. What can I say? I married an adorable Kansan!
