Simple and elegant, this oval platter carries the quality and craftsmanship synonymous with the Wedgwood name. Manufactured in England, the piece uses 51-percent bone ash to infuse its fine china with extra strength and durability. Thanks to this strength, the dish resists chipping and can safely go in the dishwasher with recommended detergents. Glossy, white surfaces cover the entire piece only to be interrupted by a soft floral band around its perimeter. The white of this band carries a slightly grayish hue making it subtly perceptible against its pure white background. To add a touch of elegance, a platinum accent outlines the outermost rim and is echoed by a thinner counterpart set inward 1-3/4 inches. The slightly concave design cradles its contents to resist spilling and offers enough space for a generous assortment of vegetables, a hearty cheese and cracker spread, or a medium-sized holiday ham.
