Designed originally in 1962 by Harold Holdcroft, Royal Albert's Old Country Roses has become one of the most popular china patterns in the company's century-long history. The sumptuous design is enhanced by the sophisticated shape, graceful floral ornamentation, rich feminine colors, and a style and elegance that are uniquely English. This matching 3-piece tea set from Royal Albert beautifully complements the entire line of Old Country Roses tableware pieces. The classically shaped 6-cup teapot, 10-ounce sugar bowl, and 8-ounce creamer, each are regally edged with a hand-trimmed border of 22-carat gold. With matching rounded bowls and ornately fashioned handles and spouts, each piece in the set also stands upon a small footed base. The crisp whiteness of the bone china gracefully showcases the decorative pink and golden yellow country roses as they cascade down the side of each vessel. Set on a bed of greenery, the delicate flowers resemble those growing in a classic English garden. The 6-cup teapot stands 8 inches high and measures 10-1/2 inches from handle to spout, the 10-ounce sugar bowl stands 4-1/2 inches high and measures 5-1/2 inches from handle to handle, and the 8-ounce creamer stands 4-1/2 inches high and measures 4-3/4 inches from handle to spout. I was pleased with the 3 Piece Tea Set made in China. The design (the old country roses) is beautiful and the china looks sturdy (in a delicate kind of way). Again, the tea cup and saucer ordered at the same time and shipped separately made in Indonesia appears of much inferior quality.
Again the 3 Piece Tea Set made in China is just gorgeous. I am very pleased. It will look absolutely elegant on my antique Tea Cart. Again my question is, when you order the Royal Albert Old Country Roses Dinnerware, how do you know ahead of time if it was manufactured in China or Indonesia???

It is beautiful and shipped perfectly. I have 2 of the Royal Albert Old Country Rose 24-Dinnerware Piece Set, Service for 4 and now with the Tea Set feel it is almost complete. This set is gorgeous, I am very happy with every piece.

Unfortunately, the internal packaging for my set was insufficient and the lid to the tea pot was broken. Amazon arranged for a very quick UPS pickup and credited my account immediately for the return. The set is beautiful, the price is great....hopefully other sets are correctly packaged to arrive intact.

It is not England made but it is absolutely gorgeous, you can't tell the difference if you don't look at the bottom of the pot. I've looked everywhere for better price but not found. I bought this from Amazon and even paid more than what they have listed currently, but worth every penny.

I had this set on my wish list for three years and I couldn't pass up the great price! It is amazing! Definitely more beautiful in person than in the picture. It's sad they don't manufacture in England anymore, but that doesn't disturb the fine quality that is Royal Albert!
