Noritake's Crestwood Platinum dinnerware combines distinction and simplicity. A wide platinum band with a nicely textured scrolling filigree design trims the edge of each piece, while thinner platinum lines add definition. Although the platinum gives the china a luxurious feel, it also provides a more modern, casual look than gold. Crestwood is crafted of beautifully translucent white porcelain china, and is available with platinum, gold, cobalt platinum, or cobalt gold trim. This set of four soup bowls complements a full range of Crestwood Platinum dinnerware. Measuring 7-1/2 by 1-3/4 inches, with gracefully angled sides that nestle well for stacking, each bowl is ideally sized for an individual portion of soup, salad, ice cream, cereal, kettle corn, or other snacks. In short, this is an indispensable bowl to have on hand, whether used for an impromptu gathering of friends in front of the TV or for a formal sit-down dinner. Porcelain china from the renowned Noritake company is actually very strong and worry-free. Although Crestwood Platinum is dishwasher-safe, it is not intended for use in the microwave. --Ann Bieri
