Almost great July 9, 2008 J. Stifle (Rensselaer, IN USA) My only regret was I couldnt find a 2 qt model at Walmart. So I figured I would take the 3 and make 2 qts at a time. That was fine for a while. But now after about 6 months or so. Only half the water in the machine comes out in a brewing process, so I have to wait for it to finish, and start it a second time. Anyone else have this problem? I tried the loose tea once, yuk, bits and pieces all in my tea, yes even thru the filter. Other than that, it makes some great ice tea.
pitcher always cracks July 7, 2008 Vicki Mayhew (Out in the the North 40) I have gone through a number of these, both the 2 qt and 3 qt. I use it once or twice everyday. I never place in dishwasher. I add ice manually by hand. And inevitably every single picture develops a crack down the front after roughly one year of use. Then it starts to leak inside the refrigerator. I usually just replace the whole unit at Walmart - about the same cost as the replacement picture with the added shipping. The tea is excellent, if the pictures held up better I would rate it 5.
The Best Tea Maker Ever July 6, 2008 Darcy Mcginn (Northridge, CA United States) O.K.,back in 1994, my children (at the time, ages 5 and 8), now (19 and 22), bought me this Mr. Coffee Ice Tea Maker for Mother's Day. By the way ~ I have never tasted coffee in my life, but was and am an Ice Tea fanatic. To add coffee to my life was like adding another 'vice' I couldn't handle. I have now purchased two of these Mr. Coffee-Iced Tea makers on Amazon because and for my 18 year old daughter, who moved out on her own (sniff~sniff) and my daughter-in-law, whom my son married 2 years ago, who really loved the "Iced Tea" I made....so here you have three generations of the Mr Coffee" Iced Tea maker.....and a truly Obsessive family who loves every single pitcher it makes! Thank you!
Iced Tea Maker July 4, 2008 PAUL H. FRIEDMAN (Southern California) Before we had this iced tea maker, we used a coffee maker, which made 8 cups, and we had to wait for it to cool before we could drink it. Besides, the coffee and tea flavors would get mixed. Now, with the Mr Coffee Iced Tea Maker, we can drink it immediately, iced cold, and have plenty to keep in the refrigerator. It is easy to clean and easy to use.
Cleaning Iced Tea Maker June 25, 2008 Hillary Tombazzi (Cleveland, OH USA) I found the best way to clean this tea pot is to put some liquid dish soap AND dishwasher powder into the pot with HOT water. Let it sit overnight, rinse it out and every tea stain will be gone!
