Urban contemporary meets Asian simplicity in this bold tableware pattern. Each piece is saturated by deep burgundy and black, in a matte finish. Square shapes take precedence: the salad plates show rounded corners, while the bowls and mugs in the collection feature square bottoms that meld into round tops. A single band of white stylized flowers runs down each plate, separating the red and black asymmetrically. The bowls and mugs are particularly elegant with their fully covered red exteriors and black interiors. This extensive 48-piece set provides 12 place settings, enough to set the table for a large dinner party. They are beautiful February 15, 2008

I've wanted these dishes since I first eyed them, but wasn't able to get them right away. Finally got them and they are gorgeous. My only problem is with their bulkiness. My sink (no dishwasher) always looks packed with dishes with just a few in the sink. I'm sure I'll get over it. Much impressed.
