Bodum takes tabletop design to new heights with these Rigi glasses-they're stackable, which means a column of four fits in the same footprint as a single one, taking up less shelf space. Each of these two 8-ounce glasses tapers from a flat base and significantly widens about halfway up, providing a good grip as well as a stackable "shoulder." Best of all, they're mouth-blown of exceptionally clear, lightweight, and heat-resistant borosilicate glass, in a double-wall construction that keeps drinks hot or cold longer and prevents condensation on the outside. Bodum has won many awards for its eye-catching and hand-fitting double-wall glassware. Rigi stacking glasses are also available in larger 11- and 15-ounce sizes, and are safe for use in the microwave and dishwasher. To protect the inner layer of glass, metal spoons should be avoided and ice cubes should be lowered in carefully. Preheating the glass with hot tap water will help retain the heat of hot drinks. The look is lovely, but these are too fragile. One arrived shattered. In reading the precautions that came with the glasses, it said to be careful about using a metal utensil in it. Since I mix a protein powder with juice for my husband, that meant I would not be able to use the glasses for that purpose. I returned them.

Great design. Stackable. Very thin, but don't feel too fragile. I use them all the time for both hot and cold drinks. No need for coasters and easy to hold. There was a small defect with one of them (a glass bump on the bottom) and Amazon replaced both within a day. Possibly the fastest CS turnaround I've ever experienced.
