Amazon.com Review Created by Gourmet Settings, Oxford flatware marries classic design with modern updates. Crafted from 18/10 stainless steel for luster and tarnish-resistance, the pattern features traditional tab-style handles with an attractive inset border for dimension and refinement. Its working ends, however, have a contemporary spin-the knife blade is slender and tapered, while the fork tines feature an oval silhouette. A gleaming mirror finish overall makes Oxford versatile enough for daily meals or special occasions. With 20 utensils in all, this Oxford set includes four place settings, each with a salad fork, a dinner fork, a knife, a soupspoon, and a teaspoon. Safe in the dishwasher, the pieces maintain their finish without polishing and come with a 50-year warranty. --Emily Bedard What's in the Box 4 place settings. Each place setting consists of: dinner fork; salad fork; soupspoon; knife; teaspoon. 20 pieces total.

The knife is the worse I have seen August 9, 2008 Peter Chen (Seattle) Overall the set is okay, the knife other than butter, you can not cut anything else with it. I tried to open my mail once, and it failed! I did not mind the knife since I have a steak knife set that I use. Also the main fork is not pointy enough. So 3 out of 5 items are good, so I gave it 3 stars.
The long and short of it... July 31, 2008 The AmaZone (Brooklyn, NY USA) Is this flatware set attractive? Nnnno. Stems are freakishly long, heads are oddly sized. Salad fork is actually a shrunken dinner fork, which looks more like a shrimp fork than anything. Finish is shinier than a set of chrome rims. Will it butter your bread and transport food from plate to mouth? Yes. Mission accomplished.
Great product for great price June 3, 2008 CloudRyder9 (Cupertino, CA, USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I owned this set for 4 or more years now...and I wash them, not in the dishwasher, but with my scratchy sponge. Despite that, they are still quite darn shiny. I admit, I don't use them everyday though, most of the nights are spent using chopsticks! Regardless, they are used a couple days every week, and treated quite roughly. What I like most about these flatware are the simple take on a classic design, and the weight and heft of Gourmet Setting's products. It doesn't feel pretentious, nor does it feel cheap. It feels smooth in the hand, and you know you're not eating off some cheap aluminum cafeteria standard, nor are you crying because you paid an arm and leg for flatware that look like they belong to your Grandma (or not- but still paid with an arm). The price for these guys aren't all too bad in my opinion. I recently bought GS Handmade dessert spoons and they too have the same heft and shine. I already know I'm going to be a lifelong devotee to this brand. I feel like I'm eating off a million bucks.
