Amazon.com Review
This has to be one of the flashiest cookware sets on the market. The highly polished stainless steel is mirrorlike. The 9-piece set includes a 2-quart saucepan with cover, 3-quart saucepan with cover, 8-quart covered stockpot, 10-inch skillet, and 5-quart covered sauté pan with extra "helper" handle. Each piece is made from a five-ply construction, which fuses an aluminum core between layers of stainless steel. The result is wonderful heat transference across the bottom and up the sides. Bottoms are permanently stamped with size and capacity. Special deep-draw lids ensure a tighter seal and minimize rattling. Each handle is individually cast of stainless steel, designed to accommodate large hands, and secured with polished stainless-steel rivets. They're also comfortably curved, stay cool to the touch on the stovetop, and are oven-safe up to 500 degrees F. Hand washing is recommended, with a nonabrasive sponge--you won't want to mar the gleaming finish of these pieces. --Matthew Evans

5 out of 5 stars The perfect cookware set   May 20, 2008
ChrisChris (Monterey,CA)
Buying a cookware set from the internet is a tough decision! I personally want to touch the pots, feel them, weight them.Unfortunatelly at the local stores i could only find some way too expensive sets (All Clad) and some cheap but...So after a lot of search i decided to trust the customer reviews for this set (plus the free shipping from Amazon.com). I am so happy i did it. The pots have the right weight - not too light, not too heavy - and the right size for someone who cooks every single day for a family of 4!! I'm not gonna argue about stainless-steel because anyone who cooks a lot knows better. As for the shine and stains i'd rather cook than worry about such things!!! I highly recommend this great 9-piece set by KitchenAid!!

5 out of 5 stars Great Set at a Great Price   April 28, 2008

When we got our new Jenn-Air range, with glass-ceramic cooking surface, we found out that our old MagnaLite pots and pans just weren't flat enough. After some research we decided to try this set out. We are more than happy with them and they work great with the glass top.

I bought my daughter a set of 5ply stainless steel pots for her bridal shower two years ago. My son is getting married and his fiance loved them and wanted them also. I couldn't find them anywhere for a reasonable price. I finally found them at amazon for an amazing price and bought them. They maintain the heat and cook so even its unbelievable. And you never have to cook on high. I would recommend this cookware to everyone.

5 out of 5 stars True Quality   February 28, 2008

First, let me say that if you're questioning whether to buy through Amazon, don't hesitate. They are great about returns, should you rethink your purchase. And, if anything is damaged, they'll take care of you or find someone who can.

Second, if this set is on sale (63% off), as it was when I purchased it, BUY IT NOW!

Okay, to the review. I love these pots. My first pot set purchase from Amazon was the Cuisinart Classic, which were pretty but cheap, cheap, cheap! Even my husband, you doesn't cook, says they felt like tin--as in a tin can!!! So, I returned those and descided I would spend a bit more to get a set that I'd be happy with for the long haul. I was looking at a few 3-ply sets (QVC Technique, Cuisinart, Gourmet Standard) and a 5-ply on Overstock by Mario Biro. When I was reviewing the options with my husband, the KitchenAid set went on sale, which made my decision.

I have had them for about two months and I love them. They're feel solid. The styling is simple. The mirror finish is not so intimidating that you feel compelled to spit shine them and put them on display, meaning I'm not afraid to actually cook with them.

The only thing I don't like is that the handles of the lids do get hot (and the Cuisinart Classics did not...).

As a side note, KitchenAid does truly have a no hassle return policy in case of damage. There was a tiny nick on the rim of one pot and they're sending me a replacement, without me having to return the pot for inspection (as I read in another review).

So, if it fits your budget, I doubt you'll be disappointed.
