2 out of 5 stars Food processor   June 26, 2008
N. janus (Fishkill NY USA)
It has nothing to do with Kitchen Aid, it is a good processor, but it lacks adequate cutting components so that everything comes out virtually chopped and ground. I mean there is no way to alter the coarseness or finesse of the cuts. Would not have gotten it, had I known it was like that, because I had an old Cuisinart and that was in comparison a work of art and great to use. Furthermore, the recipe book sent along by Kitchen Aid, was meager and a grim example of what I was trying to express all along.

I have only used this product twice and found it fits my needs perfectly. I would recommend it to everyone that needs to purchase a food processor.

I originally purchased a 7 cup processor without doing much research on it. It only came with one reversible blade. I took that back and bought this one. It was marked down (by almost half) because the box had a mark on it. Big deal. The processor has been awesome. I have used both the main bowl for salsa and the mini bowl for stir fry. I couldn't be happier with this processor.

We saw this 9-cup food processor in a Dept store for $168.00 (not including 7% sales tax). My wife saw some of the TV chefs using the prosessor, and they highly recommended it. I got it through Amazon for $30 less, no tax, and it was delivered FedEx to our front steps within 4 days of placing the order...a full week before it was supposed to be here. The machine is excellent, and works as advertised. This is a robust, well-built machine, and I expect it to last a lifetime.
