Product Description Hamilton Beach resolves the complaints of many customers tired of chopping fruits and vegetables to feed through ordinary home juicer chutes. The Big Mouth Pro Juice Extractor is designed to accept whole fruits - or at least larger pieces - for speedier, easier juicing. When it's more convenient, you're more likely to use it. So don't shy away from the fresh taste and nutrition of freshly extracted juices. With its large chute and powerful motor, juicing at home makes more sense than ever. Juice cup included

Very happy with this juicer July 5, 2008 Wes Injerd (Hillsboro, OR) Purchased this in January 2008 and it's worked great, producing some excellent juices, mostly carrot and apple. Does fine with softer vegies, too. The "post-nasal drip" is not an issue as we just use a 1-quart yogurt container for collecting the juice and then put another there to catch the drip. We put a plastic bag in the pulp catcher and that makes clean-up a whiz. The noise is somewhat annoying initially, but it's not on that long anyway. There is a lot of torque, though, and perhaps someday that will be lessened with a slower starting motor yet retaining its power. All in all, we're satisfied with this product. Thanks to all of you former reviewers for helping me make this purchase!
Happy with this juicer July 5, 2008 MissPammy I've owned several juicers, including a very low-end one that barely lasted a month, two Juiceman juicers, and a Champion juicer. This one is my favorite. It's the easiest to clean, juices the fastest, is easier to take apart, and has the power to get the maximum amount of juice out of the vegetables put into it. I juice every day, and that adds up to a lot of money spent on vegetables, so I appreciate the fact that it extracts a substantial amount of juice from them. The pulp is not really dry, so I assume that a far more expensive model could do even better at that, but I'm satisfied for the money I spent. Not sure why this is called the "chrome" model, since the juicer itself is black, not chrome, but it does seem sturdier and better made than my latest Juiceman juicer. My original juiceman was great and lasted several years, but when it bit the dust, I bought another one thinking it would be the same quality, and subsequently found out the company name had been bought out. The second Juiceman juicer lasted less than two months and was a pain to use (they're now made in China). I've only had this juicer a few days, but I can already tell it does a much better job. The Champion is a very high-quality juicer, but it takes up way too much counter space, is a pain to take apart and clean, and does not strain the juice. I never use it. I would rather use a juicer that makes the job quick and easy. The Hamilton-Beach is excellent and it gets the juicing done in a minimum of time. Clean-up is easy. I've always thought Hamilton-Beach was a good brand, and now I'm convinced of it.
was pretty happy with it, but only my first juicer June 18, 2008 shark attack This is the first juicer I've ever bought. I really liked it and was so happy with how much juice it extracted. However it seemed that shortly after it didn't work as well. It seemed that it didn't extract as much juice as it first did. I still use it, and am very happy with my purchase.
Just what I wanted! June 16, 2008 lucretia23 (New York, NY USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
An old roommate of mine had a juicer, and it was a nightmare. Huge, noisy, hot, it vibrated across the table when you turned it on, and leaked juice everywhere. It was white and stained and a b*tch to clean, and we hardly ever used it. I've wanted the benefits of juicing for a while, but I thought that's what juicers were like. But no. This thing is a dream to clean, with the little brush for the wire mesh part. I juice a lot of carrots, and it doesn't seem to be staining the juicer at all. It's not hot and doesn't "travel." It's fast and no noisier than a blender, and *so* easy to take apart and put back together. And I love the energy I get from fresh juice. Definitely put a plastic bag in the pulp bin before you use it - then you can throw the bag of pulp in the freezer and use it later for stock. :)
Best Value Juicer June 13, 2008 T. King 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
I read the reviews on this juicer and wondered why some gave rave reviews and others gave this juicer rotten reviews. Since most of the reviews were positive, I decided to take a chance and buy it. I'm glad I did. The Decision - Out of all the top reviewed juicers on Amazon, Epinion, Best-Juicer-Reviews, and ConsumerSearch, this had the longest warranty (1 yr), highest horsepower motor (1.1 hp) and lowest price ($69). All of the top rated juicers have wide mouths (3+ in) and are dishwasher safe. This is why I bought it. The juicers I looked at were Breville BJE 200XL, 800 JEXL, BJE 510XL, Jack Lalanne power juicer and Hamilton Beach 67650. The Good - It juices fast, it is easy to clean (5 min by hand, no dishwasher), and is inexpensive. Most of all, it saves me time. I could eat fast food (no more cooking and cleaning as this is dishwasher safe) without having to eat fattening drive-thru food. It is fast and nutritious. The Bad - It is not cheap to operate because you waste a lot of food in the pulp, especially if you make juice from soft fruits and vegetables. If you are making juice from hard stuff, it will be very efficient. The pulp will be a fine, moist dust. There is very little waste. However, if you are making juice from soft fruit, it will make a lot of soft, mushy wasted pulp. This juicer is perfect for hard stuff like carrots and broccoli stems. For soft stuff like watermelon and spinach leaves, I'll use my blender instead. Or, you could try re-juicing the pulp to extract more juice out of it. Or you could do what I do to avoid wasting the juicy pulp: I feed my dog the pulp. The Conclusion - The faults with this juicer are not faults with this particular model, but a fault with all centrifugal juicers (spinning knife blade used to juice). A masticulating juicer would produce less waste but would be much slower to operate. It takes a much longer time to make a cup of juice with a masticulating (grinding gears) juicer. A citrus juicer makes citrus juice only. A perfectionist or very frugal person would probably opt for less wet pulp waste by buying a masticulating juicer such as an Omega 8005. A person with a busy lifestyle would probably prefer a fast juicer that is easy to clean like this one. A person who drinks citrus juice a lot would probably buy a citrus juicer. If you are making wheat grass juice, then buy a wheat grass juicer. Depending on what you need, you may get a different juicer. However, for the price, it is impossible to get a better general purpose juicer. I will re-review this juicer in a year to give a report on it's durability.
