Rival foldable griddle August 18, 2008 Julius Kovatch (Roseville, California USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
It is a nice and handy product to have and it works well enough to consider it acceptable. One advantage of it is that it folds and does not require too much storage place. I can not rave about it like other reviewers did since I can compare with another one I still have (but getting too old) a Wolfgang Puck Griddle and it does not even come close in performance. The claimed non stick surfaces of this griddle stick pretty badly when making pancakes. I probably will wind up getting another one of the Wolfgang Puck griddle which is not foldable but miles ahead in performance of this unit.
Works Very Good July 25, 2008 J. Russo I really have no complaints about this item. The non-stick removable pans are somewhat flimsy (very thin) but they work well and how long they will last is yet to be seen. The dual thermostat controls work very well. It's convenient when cooking two different items like eggs & bacon.
Very Good Buy May 30, 2008 C.S. This product is very good. The cooking surface is non-stick and very easy to clean. Good buy.
heats evenly March 24, 2008 Annette McGary (Seattle, WA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This griddle heats very evenly and quickly too! I love that it folds for storage. I haven't had a reason yet to use the two sides at seperate temperatures but I can't imagine it will perform any differently. This griddle was worth every penny!
Good deal for the money February 8, 2008 D. Houston (Louisville, KY USA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I needed something I could cook pancakes, bacon and sausage on in my law office as we often pull "all nighters" preparing for the next day in court. This thing was inexpensive and does the job well. I give it 4 stars not 5 for 2 reasons. First, I do not recommend it for cooking hamburgers as it does not remove enough grease. I use a George Foreman grill for that and the Foreman grill does a better job of getting rid of unwanted fat and grease. Second, when cooking sausage on this thing, the griddle plates are removable and easy to clean. But the grease splatters at times and when it does it gets on the rest of the unit, especially where the temp dials are at the front. Not hard to clean, but a pain in the neck. I highly recommend this for pancakes, bacon, fried hot dogs and stuff like that. Very happy overall. I would also note that although this is a folding griddle, it is not a "contact" griddle. In other words, you cannot use it in the folded position at all, unlike say a George Foreman grill. You must lay it out flat to use it, then fold it after cleaning to store it. Takes up little space when folded
