LamsonSharp's Ebony series forged cutlery feature Dymondwood resin-infused wood handles that are heat and water resistant. The blades are one-piece full tang, made from hardened and tempered high-carbon stainless steel from Solingen, Germany. The blades are also taper-ground, polished, hand-edged and honed. The handles are triple riveted with nickel silver rivets for perfect balance and weight. The Kudamono Paring Knife has a sheep's foot blade style - meaning the gently curved tip of the blade visually resembles an ungulate's (a hoofed animal) hoof. Sheep's foot knives are traditionally used for paring and peeling fruit. Kudamono means fruit in Japanese. All LamsonSharp knives are covered under the Sharp For Life program.
