Product Description This replacement beater for older model KitchenAid (tm) 5 quart bowl-lift stand mixers continuously beats, scrapes, folds, and mixes ingredients -- without needing to stop and scrape the sides of the bowl with a spatula. The beater's "wing-system" design acts like a wiper blade that continuously scrapes the sides and bottom of the bowl while mixing, cutting mixing time by as much as 50%. It's perfect for cakes, cookies, icings/frostings, quick breads, mashed potatoes, compound butters, meatloaf, pie fillings, gum paste, and much more. Also doubles as a spatula for scraping out the contents of the bowl. For use with KitchenAid Heavy Duty and Commercial stand mixers (models 4K5SS, 4KSM5, and 4KSMC50). Dishwasher safe. Not for use with bread doughs, thick cookie doughs, or frozen foods.

High hopes but disappointing July 30, 2008 D. Markatos (New Canaan, CT USA) 4 out of 9 found this review helpful
Despite getting the proper size, the design of this tool (note sides are up) is not correct. When in use, the ingredients come out of the bowl at times. After making a couple of batches of whip cream, I found that one quarter of the cream was splashed on my counters. The defect is that the blades of the scrapper arc up instead of down like the current kitchen aid supplied beater.
what took so long? July 21, 2008 Cheryl Cheron (baldwin, new york usa) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
this is one of those products that as soon as you see it, you can't understand why it took so long to invent it. the kitchen aid mixer is the best in every possible way except for that little bit of dough on the bottom of the bowl that never gets incorporated properly. this blade solves that problem once and for all. the beater is even dishwasher safe! bravo.
Beater Blades are grat July 9, 2008 Amy Gayle (Jericho, NY) 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
I have owned a Kitchen aid standing mixer for over 40 years and this is the first time mixing was sooo easy. I don't have to stop and scrape the bowl down any moe. Great invention. Bless this people who came up with the idea. Audrey Fallowes
AWESOME July 9, 2008 I. Galileo (miami) 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
The beater blade is the most useful kitchen utensil ever! I've used the blade for cookies, cakes and frostings and everything mixes much faster because all the ingredients are being incorporated at once without having to stop the machine. The beater blade is super strong and can handle all our baking/mixing needs. Try it, you'll love immediately! The best part is the blade will not chip like the metal one that come with the machine. This is a great value and a great gift for someone you know who loves to cook.
Mixing Reinvented July 9, 2008 Linda 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
This is the most phenomenal product since the immersion blender. As a professional chef I find I use it constantly. It saves time and does an incredible job of thoroughly mixing all ingredients. I put it through our commercial dishwashers constantly and have had no problems. My staff loves it also and everyone is purchasing one for themselves to use at home. Nice job!
