More than I expected July 26, 2008 V. Thomas (Baltimore, MD) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Wow! what a great little pot. I have been wanting a butter warmer pot for a long time and I kept putting it off because of the price. I like All Clad produts but I did not want to spend $50.00 for such a small pot. I saw this KitchenAid and I read the stats on it. It is not only gorgeous looking, but it is very thick with a strong riveted handle that is plenty long and, it is made with 5 ply 18/10 stainless steel. It is the same 2-cup size as the AllClad and I just love it. I use it to warm butter, make sauces, heat up heavy cream or milk and it works just fine. The only thing I would like to be different is the location of the pour spout. I would prefer it to be on the right side but, that's a minor thing considering it is $20.00 less than the AllClad. I also like the fact that it is brushed stainless steel on the inside. I have had no problems with scorching or hot spots and the clean up is a breeze. I have used it many times and it still looks like it's brand new. Way to go KitchenAid! I definitely got more than I expected with this one.
Just what I wanted June 17, 2008 SavvyShopperMom (Chicago, IL USA) This butter warmer is just what I hoped it would be: heavy bottomed, not tippy, well constructed, easy cleanup, and attractive to boot. I've also used it to warm pasta sauce and cocktail sauce. It's attractive enough to leave on the table, and it's heavyweight construction helps keep the sauce nice and warm.
Perfect Little Pan June 12, 2007 WoW mom (Orange County, CA USA) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
This pan is more versatile than just a butter warmer. It's the perfect size to make small amounts of sauce or even to poach an egg or two in the morning. I'm sure it would be great to melt chocolate, but haven't tried that. To me the nicest thing is that this pan has a good heft to it. It doesn't tip on the burner even when empty like a lot of pans, and the slightly flared bottom helps in this regard. The pan is thick which should help to prevent scorching. This pan is a very good value for the price.
