5 out of 5 stars Great multi-purpose pan   November 2, 2008
Racecoach (Boise, ID)
This sauce pan is very versatile. It features a cool handle and heats very evenly.

I use it for a number of things besides sauces - for example if you have to fry something, but need a smaller pan - this works well.

When I am preparing a larger/complex dinner - this pan always gets a work out.

4 out of 5 stars Good pan with too short handle   February 13, 2008
E.Z. (Cleveland, Ohio)
I've got this pan recently and after doing some cooking I can tell it's a very decent pan - heavy, holds a heat, nice shape for saucemaking. But I don't really like the long handle that is actually a little bit too short for my taste in sauce pans. Yes, it has the additional loop handle but on 1.4 q sauce pan you usually don't need the other hande ( it's a pretty small pan). I've got this pan thru ebay for much lower price than it's offered on Amazon, so no regrets there, but I thought of bying bigger saute pan from the same line and now I abandoned this idea because of the handle.

This is a nice addition to the set that we purchased. I like the size of this sauce pan.

5 out of 5 stars My first saucier   October 22, 2007

I had been watching an episode of Elton Brown and he discussed Sauciers. I thought "what the heck" and decided to order one. This is one of the best purchases I have made this year. I could not believe how easy it was to make fabulous gravy and sauces. They are always so "trickey" but with the Saucier it is difficult/impossible to make a mistake. The qualtiy of this KitchenAid Product is "first class". The stainless steel is smooth as silk and the product has "heft" so it feels like a "real" piece of equipment. The moment you touch this pan, you know you are about to experience something special. I love it.
