Product Description KitchenAid 5-Ply 18/10 Stainless Steel Clad Cookware combines the highest quality materials to deliver an exquisite line of stainless steel cookware that performs beautifully. The line combines gorgeous, highly polished stainless steel with the superior heat conductivity of an aluminum core. KitchenAid 5-Ply uses 18/10 stainless steel on both the exterior and interior. Heat-resistant, silicone handles provide a cool, confident grip. The cookware is oven safe. Handwash with mild dish soap. This 7-pc. set includes: 2-qt. Saucepan with Lid, 6-qt. Stockpot with Lid, 8-in. Clad Skillet, 3-qt. Saute with Helper Handle and Lid.
Amazon.com Review Combining the virtues of stainless steel and aluminum, KitchenAid's Five-Ply pots and pans are practical, durable, beautiful, and built to last a lifetime. They contain three layers of aluminum across the bottoms and up the sides for quick, uniform heating without hot spots or scorching. Bonded to the aluminum core are nonreactive exteriors and interiors of 18/10 stainless steel that resist scratching, denting, and warping, as well as corrosion and discoloring. The stainless steel is polished to a mirror finish that retains its luster--though the bottoms inside are less polished to hide whisk and spatula marks. Wearing a mirror finish inside and out and equipped with big handles, lids sit down deeply to produce tight seals. Cast-stainless-steel handles are triple-riveted and arched for easy lifting. They stay cool on the stovetop and go safely into the oven up to 500 degrees F. This set consists of a 2-quart covered saucepan, a 3-quart covered sauté pan, a 6-quart covered stockpot, and an 8-inch skillet. Though it's dishwasher-safe, hand washing KitchenAid cookware will prevent its surface from dulling. The first year of this item's lifetime warranty against defects is "hassle-free," with a replacement shipped at no cost and without question if a defect is detected. --Fred Brack What's in the Box 2-quart saucepan with lid, 3-quart sauté pan with lid, 6-quart stockpot with lid, 8-inch skillet

As good as Viking, 1/3 the cost ! ! ! November 7, 2007 Aaron G. Yaris (Saint Louis, MO (the LOU)) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I am a professional cook, and I only cook with stainless for health benefits. Kitchen Aid has succeeded in creating a line of pans that rival the high end brand Viking......Viking is the industry leader in stainless steel ware. But they grossly overcharge. Thank you kitchen aid for providing us with stainless ware that will last forever, and doesn't break the bank. Keep in mind that, yes these are expensive, but you will NEVER have to buy another pan again. Your friends will be impressed, and you can join me in making fun of Viking for its unreasonable prices......THANKS KITCHEN AID ! ! ! !
Easy on the eye and the pocketbook! December 29, 2005 K. W Beard (Seattle, WA) 26 out of 26 found this review helpful
I have a few pieces of All Clad, which cook well, but have small handles with a sharp edge, which makes picking up the pan a little precarious. All Clad also costs three times as much as Kitchenaid. I bought the set in time to do all my holiday cooking. From sauteing onions for the stuffing, boiling caramels to 256 degrees and boiling down the turkey carcass, I was blown away. These pans are world class performers. They are beautiful to look at, well balanced, and have large well formed handles. I could not be more proud of how I spent my money or more pleased with the way these pans perform. This will be the last set of cookware you will ever buy.
