Warped after one run through Dishwasher September 14, 2008 Fun Mama (California) From teh reviews I knew that I would likely be replacing this board yearly, but that it would be great for a good while. Well, it warped after the first run through the dishwasher and now it wont sit flat enough to cut on safely. So it's getting tossed!
NOT dishwasher safe...as advertised July 4, 2008 David E. Nelson Washed it on the top rack of the dishwasher before using; it bowed so much it was unusable.
Gripper cutting board works well June 27, 2008 Martin O. I use the energy saver option on my dishwasher and let the dishes air dry, so the issue other people have with it melting is not an issue for me. Very happy with my purchase. It has a handhold cut into it and that is very nice too.
Cooks Illustrated was right June 25, 2008 Ross Morrison (Brooklyn, New York) Admittedly, I pretty much do whatever Cooks Illustrated tells me to do, and they told me to buy this, so I did, but this is a darn fine cutting board. It's the perfect size for chopping up vegetables, meat-based products, the fingers of people who owe you money, practically anything. Also, the orange color goes with my beach-house themed kitchen. I don't have a dishwasher or any other sort of fancy appliance since I live in New York City and apparently we're not allowed to have things like that even though it's commonplace in every other city in every other even mildly developed country in the entire world, so I won't know if it's dishwasher safe until I hit the lottery or sell a screenplay or something like that. All I know is it's heavy and compact at the same time and it stands its ground while placed on the paltry amount of surface space of what passes for cabinets in my microscopic kitchen.
Left knife marks. March 24, 2008 R. Titchener (Raleigh, NC United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I like the board but the very first time I used it, the knife made marks on the board. Granted, I have very sharp knives, but one of the reasons I purchsed this board was that I thought the marks would not show. It might be the brown color. Otherwise, it's a great cutting board as it can go in the dishwasher.
