We purchased this because we wanted to try an air filter with a permanent filter but not one like the ionic breeze. This little unit seems to work well and it is fairly quiet on the low setting. We clean the filter every 2 weeks and remove a good amount of dust. The unit is in a bedroom and appears to be making a difference in the amount of dust present. We did try the scent cartridge but found it to be over powering and quickly removed it. So, this has been a good filter for the money so far.
