A friend of mine recommended this to me to clean animal hair from furniture and she was right! She has a Golden Retriever and a Ragdoll (long-haired cat) and used her vacuum to successfully remove their hair from her furniture. Removing the hair from my 2 short-haired cats was much less of a challenge but equally successful with this vacuum. I highly recommend this for anyone dealing with animal hair embedded in their upholstery.

This Shark is dynamite - a great little vacuum. I compared with Black & Decker and others, and they just didn't have the power this thing has. We have a cat, whose litter box is in a bathroom with tile floors and rugs. I use the Shark with its powered brush head daily, and it grabs all the spare clay litter that the cat trailed around so it doesn't spread all over the house! The brush head works well both on the tile floor as well as on the rugs, going pretty deep on the latter, like a regular vacuum.
Be sure and do as the manual says - with the NiCad battery, you must fully charge for first use - and then allow to completely discharge for 2 or 3 passes. Then you can use, charge, use, charge, etc., like normal.
BTW, the manufacturer offers a wall-mounted charging stand for $4 (plus $6 to get it to you), though it's not included with the vacuum. Definitely worth having.

I bought this a few days ago and am impressed with how strong it is even on toughly woven rugs. Definitely a good investment. I don't usually review things I've purchased, but felt this one deserved it.

This unit does not stay charged long enough for me and not worth the effort of the time it takes to clean the unit. I have used it twice and takes up space in my opinion.

We received this product as a wedding gift and my husband and I love it! We have a dog that sheds constantly, and it works great for quick touch-ups in between vacuuming. We vacuum our bedspread with it about every other day!! The suction in this little vacuum can't be beat. The power brush makes cleaning furniture and even carpet a breeze. The only downside I can think of is the lack of a charging station. We've used this product almost daily since receiving it over a month ago. Would buy again over and over.
