This 1-liter carafe is all that it was meant to be. I start my coffee preparation by boiling a kettle of water. Half the boiled water goes into my French coffee press. The other half immediately goes into the Alfi Dan carafe which is then sealed with the screwon lid . After the requisite 4 minutes of waiting for the French press to do its job, I empty the carafe of its hot water and immediately replace it with the French press fresh brewed hot coffee. My breakfast brewed coffee is as hot as ever for an after lunch cup without the burnt bitterness of coffee left on the burner all morning. The white carafe is attractive and inviting sitting on a tray on my dining table. My decor is Victorian but this piece would be equally appropriate for any decorator style.

Light weight, good looking and keeps coffee hot for hours if carafe is preheated with hot water.
