4 out of 5 stars Not bad for the price   August 27, 2008

for the price, this cleans floors fine. it is much better than using a dirty mop.

4 out of 5 stars Nice surprise!   August 13, 2008

I read all of the reviews online prior to purchasing and was skeptical that the item would live up to the positive reviews. But guess what...it did! The cord is just a little bit too short but no big problem. The steam heats up quickly and uses very little water. I can do an large kitchen and 2 1/2 baths and still have a little water left. I took one persons advise and poured a little of the Lysol cleaner directly on the floor rather than placing in the compartment for the cleaner and it worked great. My floors have never looked cleaner. You can't beat the price. I have been looking for months for a steam cleaner and glad I found this one.

3 out of 5 stars Cleans well, but I wish it came with more pads.   August 12, 2008

I bought this instead of the shark steam mop they advertise on TV. It works pretty well and does what it is soppose to. The only problem I have are the pads get dirty quick and you only get two. I made some out of washcloths and velcro. And the cord is too short. I added an extension cord so I could just keep it plugged up and do my whole living room and dining room.

4 out of 5 stars No nonsense cleaning   August 6, 2008

Simply stated, it heats up quickly and does a wonderful cleaning job on hardwood floors and bathroom tile. I've always had a problem with hairspray on the bathroom floor and used many different cleaning products to lift the debris however the steam mop does the jobs quickly. Even though not suggested it takes stains out of carpeting. This is a great product for the price. I would have given it 5 stars however the top cover is always falling off. The Lysol solution left the floors a little sticky. I found that plain water with a touch of white vinegar works the best. I would repurchase and recommend this product to anyone.

4 out of 5 stars I got( knock knock) Ahh Steam Heat   August 4, 2008

I had my kitchen remodeled last year. The contractor wanted stone ceramic floors as opposed to the linoleum tiles I wanted to put in. He was right the stone floors are beautiful. I bought a sponge mop thinking that would be a snap. The mop just glided over leaving the dirt behind. the stone floor acted like glass! I got a scrubby and used my foot to scrub the floor. Next I got a swifter mop thinking that a mop with a with its own cleaner and scrubber would do the job; Still no dice. Finally I saw this item on a Friday special. Most of the reviews were positive but there were some problems reported. I bought this in June '08 I used it yesterday August '08 way past the return date. For the first time since this floor was installed I Have a clean floor! It took all of 10 minutes.
stains and everything that stuck removed! I let my new steam mop cool down rinsed out the re-usable cloth and did it again. The floor was so clean it looked brand new again. The floor sparkled!
Now I have to say though the handle is flimsy but the steamer works. You have to follow the directions though and don't over fill the reservoir. Only fill to the line. Although seeing the line is difficult to see. Use caution this is steam! The floor was dry almost instantly maybe a minute or two. I was surprised to see my nasty chore was over in minutes. From start to finish this was ten minutes top! I gave it four stars for it's lousy handle and the reservoir line I can barely see. Comes with a full bottle of Lysol and only two cleaning cloths. I imagine it will not be too difficult to make my own.
