I prefer a taller than the typical 24"+/- stand for my bedroom. At 30" high, its a better height for viewing my 40" LCD from the bed. The design is practical, with a wide top shelf for widescreen TVs. The narrower bottom shelves have plenty of room for gear, and you can set your subwoofer next to it without wasting extra floor space.
Aesthetically, it's a good look. Modern, but warmed by the cherry inserts. My bedroom set is turn-of-the-century, and I was pleasantly surprised at how well the stand blends in.
Setup is a breeze, but be aware that the package as shipped is VERY heavy due to the thick glass shelves. Once you get the package open and separate the shelves, assembly is fast and simple.
