Asked Go Vacuums and this filter is not any different from the non-washable. They said that Amazon controls the description and they cannot change it.
Filter can be washed without ruin, but taking a stiff nylon brush to it outside seems to work better.

it works and it is washable so you can clean it up and reuse it. If you have a dog who sheds like mine does, this product is a must!
