Worse than my previous vacuum January 9, 2008

I bought this vacuum three years ago to replace one that broke down on me. I would have been better off going with a vacuum similar to that one. First of all, this vacuum is annoyingly loud. If I'm using one of the extensions and keep the vacuum rested on a tiled floor, the noise this vacuum makes is unbearable. Ditto when I use the Power Paw attachment - that thing sounds like a power saw (no pun intended). Second, the duster that comes with it has a non-removable disc to attach it to the spin duster section of the vacuum. If I remove the duster to use it, this disc hits everything I'm dusting, which makes it useless to me. Third, this vacuum is supposed to produce less of a mess than vacuums that use bags. Yet emptying out the canister produces a cloud of dust that would never appear if I dumped out a vacuum bag. I'm considering replacing this vacuum with a quieter, less annoying one.
